Sometimes it seems impossible for the situation to change. That person changes. That surrenders and be humble. That may he be able to treat us differently. That your habits change. That you actually do it, instead of just promising. However, if you don't try, you'll never know.
According to the WHO (World Health Organization), Europe leads the world in alcohol consumption, with an average of 9.8 liters of pure alcohol per person registered in 2018. Surpassing this average, Portugal occupies the 13th place worldwide in terms of consumption of pure alcohol per capita, with an average of 12.3 liters. The percentage of abstainers (that is, people who do not consume alcohol excessively) is around 18.6% of men and 32% of women in Portugal; percentage considerably higher than the European average (5.6% and 13.5%, respectively).
Portugal is one of the countries with the highest alcohol consumption in the world. About 1/4 of young Europeans aged 15 to 29 die from excessive alcohol consumption. Excessive consumption gives the illusion of strength, agility and speed, but in reality the person is weaker, less agile, slower and more confused.
The grieving process reflects an emotional relationship with any loss, which may originate from a death, a divorce, a loss of employment, a diagnosis of sterility, retirement, a change of house, the departure of a child from home, a crippling disease – basically, in everything that represents the end of some part of our life, as we have known it until then.
Anger is an extremely intense emotion, which can result from supreme irritation, excessive annoyance, indignation, or hostility toward a group, another person, or an adverse event.
The person accepts the purchase, more than being impulsive, seeks relief from their suffering and not just for pleasure. Compulsive shopping behavior is like a ritual with a basis similar to that of obsessive-compulsive disorders. This dependence leads to a loss of control over the person's behavior and life in general.
Given that internet addiction stems from the person's deepest weaknesses and insecurities, the treatment should focus on the individual as a whole and not just the part of his addiction. It is, thus, a process of self-knowledge and self-acceptance.
